Starting A Blog – How To Find The Best Hosting For Your Blog
When I started this blog, I knew nothing about web design, domain names or webhosting. I spent two hours just trying to understand what a domain name was and how to get one. Since my humble beginnings, I have learned that there are some great resources available, if you know where to look.
Getting a domain name is the easy part. Finding a web hosting site is much more confusing. A great place to start your search is WebHostingGeeks. If you are planning on creating a new blog, here are a few things you need to consider:
- Are you going to create more than one blog? If so, does your hosting site allows you to have more than one domain name at no additional charge?
- Can you buy your domain names with the same company that provides your hosting? I prefer to have as many things in one place as possible. It makes it easier to deal with in the long run.
If you are thinking of starting a blog, or switching your hosting company, consider visiting WebHostingGeeks first. You may find all the information that you need in one location.

Thanks for that link, Dustin! I’ve been thinking about getting a new web host, as I’m pretty unimpressed by Web Hosting Pad (was surprised that they came in third on that list!) Everyone raves about Host Gator, but I notice that they didn’t make the WebHostingGeeks list at all, and I’ve long suspected that all the good reviews were partially due to the affiliate program they have in place. Not to mention, I think they’re overpriced for what you get. I think I might give HostMonster a try … Thanks again for the resource!
