Passive Income Results – February 2009
Welcome to my monthly passive income results report. Some of these streams of income are passive, some are less passive (such as writing articles). Over the course of the next year I will be adding to these streams of income, with the overall goal of making $1,000 per month purely from my online ventures. So without further ado, here are my Passive Income Results for February 2009.
eHow: $48.96 – I did not get the opportunity to write many articles for eHow this month. In fact, since none of the articles I published in February made any money at all, my eHow income can truly be classified as passive income. If you want to short-cut your efforts and make more money from your articles, check out Janet’s eBook. You will find some tips that will pay for the book within a short period of time.
Last month, I made $50.06 from eHow, which means I earned slightly less this month. Even having 3 less days to earn, I am happy with my portfolio of articles. Once I finish a few more things at work, I should be able to write more consistently.
Today: $27.82 – This income is about as easy as it comes. Pick something you enjoy, create a short 150 word post every day and earn money. The only negative about Today dot com is that you cannot post your own affiliate links or you will not get credit for your post. They have added affiliate products that you can promote. I will let you know how this goes.
Affiliate Sales (article marketing): $35.69 – Affiliate sales were down about 50% from last month. Still, $35 for a few articles I wrote last month is not too shabby at all.
Amazon Sales: $34.22 – Yeah….This is awesome. Someone clicked on a eHow link and proceeded to buy almost $1,000 worth of computer stuff. Awesome, simply awesome!
eBay Sales: $12.99 – Not really passive, but since the book I sold was so old, I will include it here.
Yahoo Ads: $0.53 -Enough said.
Swagbucks: $15 Amazon Gift Cards – I like Swagbucks. It does not take any effort to save up enough bucks to get an Amazon or Barnes & Noble gift card. As much as I read, this is perfect for me.
Paid Blogging: $39.00 – I took a few paid posts on a few of my smaller blogs. Still…..$39 for almost nothing is not too bad. I am still on the fence on whether or not I will continue this method of generating income.
Bukisa: $0.12 – The per thousand index just increased to $3.72 AND the minimum payout has been reduced to $10. I may start adding a few articles as an experiment in March.
CashCrate: $0.81 – If you like surveys, you can make a ton of money on this site. I am much too lazy and get way too bored.
HomePageFriends: $0.26 – I still prefer Swagbucks.
February 2009 Total: $215.14
This represents an increase of $40.30, without any real work to speak of. Currently, I am 21% of the way to my goal after only 3 months of effort.
How did you do this month? What other streams can I try? I would love to hear from you!

That’s fantastic Dustin, congratulations! I just looked into Swag Bucks and Cash Crate myself. So many opportunities out there, so little time!
Congrats on your results! I am not sure if you noticed it last month on eHow, but my January numbers went up several days after I posted my results. I am waiting this month until I get confirmation of my payout before posting. Who knows – maybe you will beat last month?
Congrats on the rest of your numbers. That is really cool about your affiliate sales as well as the Amazon Affiliate income. I am going back through all of my eHow posts to include more pictures and at least one affiliate link on each post.
Some good results here – you’re doing better than me anyway! Sadly eHow doesn’t pay its contributors from outside the US at present – so for me here in the UK it’s not an option.
Good Job! Keep up the great work, and hopefully with alot of hard work and a little bit of luck, you can add some zeroes to that income every month
I enjoy reading about this type of stuff so keep it up!

Goog Job. Very nice income that you got this month. Thanks Greg Ellison
I’m using cash crate as well – and I made over $450 with it this past month. Helpful hint: The real money isn’t in taking surveys, its in the referring of new users to the service.
Congratulations! That’s inspiring. I know I want to make more than that a month, and you do too, but to know that there’s a regular person out there slowly earning an income online, gives me a boost! I’m off to explore more avenues to making some money!
Hey, well done, you. More grease to your elbow this month.
take care…
