Passive Income Results – December 2008
As a baseline for 2009, I have decided once again to post my massive online income results for December 2008. Over the course of the next year I will be adding to these streams of income, with the overall goal of making $1,000 per month purely from my online ventures. So without further ado, here are my Passive Income Results for December 2008.
eHow: $30.37 – December was a slow month for eHow earnings. While some people absolutely killed this month, my earnings got off to a really slow start. Personally, I believe it had something to do with the update that eHow went through since I have done nicely over the past 5 to 6 days. If you want to short-cut your learning curve, check out Janet’s eBook. Doing so will help you avoid the stupid mistakes I made in the beginning.
Yahoo: $0.29 – Really, really low… but it is a start. I have decided to give Yahoo a try since Google was absolute rubbish for my sites. Hopefully over time, Yahoo will gain market share and start to compete with Google for PPC revenue.
Affiliate Sales: $28.60 – This month was the first time I have ever attempted to make any affiliate sales (besides putting up annoying banners or 125×125 ads). I was pleasantly surprised to make almost $30 selling someone else’s product. This stream has become the focal point for Passive Streams of Income, which hopefully will add significantly to next month’s results.
Today.com: $8.59 – Seriously this is the easiest money on the internet. Pick a topic, write 100 – 150 words and get paid $1 plus $2 per thousand page views. This is absolute no-brainer. Earn additional money when someone signs up under your link and creates 5 approved posts. Please sign up HERE!
Bukisa: $1.66 – I did not add any additional articles to Bukisa this month. Instead I focused on eHow and learning how to sell affiliate products. Still, Bukisa has tremendous potential and can be used when you create articles that do not fit into the traditional “How to” model.
CashCrate: $0.71 – I completed only one offer which took approximately 1 minute to finish. I always forget about this site until I start to write this post. I need to put a sticky note on the front of my computer to remind me to do this more often. It is so easy!
Swagbucks: – 100 swagbucks – This is still a fun way to earn a few bucks. It is kind of exciting to hit enter and then see that you have won. A few more bucks and I will buy another iTunes card. My wife loves these and I look like a hero!
Home Page Friends: $3.00 – Like CashCrate, I tend to forget about this search engine. HPF pays you in cash, so I need to start using them more. I have added them as my default search engine so that during January I can see if this adds to my passive streams at all. I did a few keyword searches on my eHow articles and found them on the first page. I wish everyone used Home Page Friends!
Fantasy Football Winnings: $100 – I started the season off at 3 – 1. I then proceeded to lose 6 games in a row before rallying and making the playoffs at 6 – 7. In the first round of the playoffs, I got lucky and beat the best team in the league to move into the money rounds. Unfortunately, I lost by 2 points (McNabb threw an interception in the endzone) or I would have secured at least $250 (possibly $525). Fun stuff though!
Total monthly earnings – $173.22
Like I mentioned previously, I hope to be making 10 times this amount as of December 2009. SUBSCRIBE to my feed and watch my progress!

Way to go. Nice work on the fantasy football!!! Good work on your affiliate income. This is one area that I plan on working on for 2009 as well. Keep up the great work for a successful 2009.
How about focusing first on one service then try to expand it up to its limits?
@ James – Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it.
@PFI – I was excited just to make the playoffs. To actually win some money was a bonus!
@Charles – I am adding to each of them on a monthly basis to protect against default by any of these services. I would hate to spend the amount of time that I do, only to have a company go out of business and be right back where I started.
