Niche Creation – Should I Try My Hand At Creating A Niche Website?
So far, in my relatively short internet career, I have created three blogs, written over 100 articles on eHow, taken a few paid posting assignments and generated a few hundred dollars in affiliate sales. What I am lacking, however, is a truly passive source of income. I need to create a stream that continually puts dollars in my bank account each and every month, with no additional input from me. In other words, I need to create real passive income.
I have been kicking around the idea of creating a few niche websites. You know the kind! Create, monetize and forget. More of an autopilot format, unlike the manual input currently needed for me to generate online income.
Have any of you guys tried One Week Marketing? I think this is going to be my next purchase. This woman created tons of cash from nothing. Basically all of her sites are set on autopilot, which makes her money even while she is sleeping. This is the kind of income I need. I tend to run out of day before I get enough things done.
My main problem is that I have hundreds of ideas. I have so many ideas that if I worked on nothing but them, 40 hours a week, I still could not complete them all. As such, I tend to lack focus and bounce around from one idea to the next. I think if I had an action plan to follow, I could really begin to do well for myself and my family. I think I am going to invest my eHow earnings for March into something that teaches me how to create a new stream of income.
What about you? Have you had any success in creating niche websites? Have you tried One Week Marketing? Check it out and let me know what you think!

Hey Dustin! We’re in the exact same boat — my ideas fly fast and wild, and I’m lucky if I can grab onto one long enough to actually apply some focus!
I registered a half dozen domains before I realized that I needed to pull back and focus on one site at a time, and so far so good. I would recommend spending your money on the Private “War Room” membership at the Warrior Forum before One Week Marketing though — there’s a lot of amazing information on that forum, the WSO’s are great (and most are very affordable) and the War Room has a lifetime membership for $37 (I think) and there are some incredible threads within. Good luck to you, and keep us updated on your progress!!
I, like Scarlett, also went out and bought a bunch of domain names several months ago with the intention of creating all these niche sites. Most of them are just sitting there now ready to expire. I also have a hard time staying focused which is why I decided to write out and keep track of my goals.
I think your eHow earnings are completely passive. You are just spending your time building new little streams of income writing your articles now. I also believe that creating niche blogs still takes some monthly maintenance – so nothing is truly passive.
I have a goal to get one new niche site up and running every month (starting in March) until the end of the year. So far so good for March!
I have one niche website of the type you are describing. (BankBonuses.com) It only makes about $10 a month plus an occasional affiliate sale but it only costs me about $20 a year in expenses so it is a decent profit. Considering I only spend a few minutes a month on it the income is good. I have some other domain names I need to develop but I never seem to get around to it.
So many ideas and opportunities and so little time! I know exactly what you mean. Oh to be disciplined and focused. Tonight I had a list of tasks to do and already I have strayed off into reading other people’s blogs instead!
Hmm, looks like we all have the same problem, too many ideas, too little time. I too have over a dozen domains sitting around cash parked on Google. I guess what I really need to do is take some vacation time and develop them, even it it’s only one page each to start off.
Seriously fellas, go for the paid membership at Warrior Forum, if nothing else — and follow the Keyword Academy and Make Money Online For Beginners blogs (links at my site) and you’ll be much farther along than most. I’ve bought more than a few WSOs lately and most have been disappointing — only because they taught concepts that I’d already learned for free via the blogs written by Grizz and Court. Best of luck to everyone!
