I started this blog as a way for me to experiment with different ideas that I have concerning blogs and the various ways individuals use their blogs. Two people can start the same project with the same information at the same time and can arrive with two completely different outcomes.

In this blog you will find my ideas for online projects, ways to make money on eBay, ways to monetize your blog (including yet not limited to article writing, private ads, etc), experiments in affiliate marketing, and any other random ideas that may arise over the course of this 1 year experiment. It is not a make money online blog.. not exactly. Call it a personal diary of a guy trying out various things.

Some of these ideas will work; others will fail miserably. With the exception of purchasing this domain name, the costs to host it, and buying a few logos, I will not spend a dime on advertising or promotion.

Each month, I will update you on my progress. I do have a few goals. I have broken them down as follows:

Month 1 – $15
Month 2 – $25
Month 3 – $50
Month 4 – $75
Month 5 – $100
Month 6 – $200
Month 7 – $300
Month 8 – $400
Month 9 – $500
Month 10 – $600
Month 11 – $700
Month 12 – $800

As you can see, my overall goal is $3,765 in income derived from online sources. Many people may think these goals are pathetic (either too low or too high). I have absolutely NO internet or IT training. Most successful blogs are written by individuals in the IT field. They have a leg up on the average blogger. I am not one of those guys.

That is my mission, and this is ExperimentalBlogging.
