eHow experiment – passive income process refined
Based upon a comment I received from Maria, I have decided to add a few more rules to my eHow experiment.
As with any blog, creating backlinks is an essential ingredient to its success. When I make comments on other people’s blogs, I increase the chance of obtaining a small amount of free traffic. This is especially true if the comments I leave are relevant and add value to the original post. Currently experimentalblogging has a page rank of 1. As I continue to post (hopefully on a daily basis) and comment on other blogs, my page rank should increase slightly.
In order to maintain my ability to compare the results of this experiment, I have decided to implement two additional rules. Hopefully these additional rules will not make it too difficult. The last thing I want to do is create a reason for me to give up and not continue.
If I make a comment on someone’s blog (creating a backlink here) I will also post a comment on an eHow article. This eHow comment may, or may not, be on one of my eHow friends. My objective is to keep the natural promotion at approximately the same level.
Additionally, if I promote an article via some social networking site (digg, stumble, etc), I will also promote a post from one of my blogs. This should encourage me to create quality posts, since social network users will kill your article if it is poorly written.
What else should I consider? Do you see any flaws in my experiment so far? I would love to hear your feedback.

Good luck to you, i can’t wait to see the results of this experiment. Mine is going well, so far I’ve been on ehow for 20 days, I’ve made almost $10 and I have over 60 articles running. I can’t wait to watch it grow. I hear the average is currently $5/article/month but I don’t know how accurate that is.
Ooooh, this sounds like fun. I am looking forward to this playing out.
Here’s another thought for you: you can make comments on other blogs and link to one of your eHow articles. In other words, you can create a backlink to your articles by commenting on blogs instead of commenting on eHow articles. Make sense?
Good luck!
