Ebates – Can This Be Considered Passive Income?
Each month I love to read my fellow bloggers passive income reports. Some include money made from stock dividends, some include money from PPC advertising, and some include cash rebates from their credit cards.
This got me to wondering whether or not bloggers should include rebates from sites that provide coupons discounts, such as Ebates. In case you have not heard of Ebates before, the concept is pretty simple. Participating merchants give you a percentage of your purchases back each month. Once every three months, you are sent a check (or money via paypal), as long as you have accumulated more than $5 in rebates from your purchases.
If you do any spending online, using Ebates could potentially save you a lot of money. I have read nothing but positive reviews from people who are currently using them.
I guess if people include cash back from credit card purchases in their monthly passive income totals, any cash rebates from Ebates should be included as well.
What do you think? Is this truly passive income? Do you include these type of rebates in your passive income totals?

I have a little stream of income from these sites – mostly Mr. Rebates. I’ve only written a few posts on it and I continue to get referrals from them. It’s the most passive kind of income I can think of.
I have never used it and I think it cannot really be considered passive income. It depends on how you use it.
You know, since I posted earlier I have seen this income become somthing more than a trickle. And beyond writing s a few articles and blog posts, there’s really nothing more to do. This stream of income is about as passive as I’ve found. Particularly when all you’re doing is showing people have to save money on something they do anyway.
