As you are no doubt well aware, I have been contemplating purchasing an affiliate marketing plan for the past few days. Since I spend so much time looking at the shiny new things, instead of actually working, I decided I needed a proven plan. I needed someone to tell me what to do, how to do it and why I did it. I need someone to hold my hand.

While I have made a few affiliate sales online each month for the past 3 months, I want a plan to make even more. I hate checking my clickbank account only to see a whole week of zeros. That just plain stinks. I want to be one of those success stories that you are always reading about online.

After a ton of research, I narrowed my choices down to two possible purchases:

3 Day Marketing

One Week Marketing

3 Day Marketing looks like a solid plan. The guy who writes it is awesome and makes an absolute killing online. I think he made $20,000 last month. I almost pulled the trigger on this purchase this afternoon. Currently, the price is only $47. Once this guy sells 100 copies, the price will increase to $97 (there was 49 copies left at 3pm eastern today). The thing that made me think twice was a reference to PPC advertising. I am a complete noob. This is totally out of my league (for now).

One Week Marketing does not require any experience. It was written for someone like me. Utilizing free blogs and Squidoo lenses, this author has created a tremendous online empire. I have read Travis’ bummarketing stuff, and for the most part, enjoyed it. The problem I have is putting it all together. You know…the whole A then B then C = $$$

After much deliberation, I went ahead and purchased One Week Marketing. I used money that I earned from eHow to fund this purchase. Reinvesting my earnings into an action plan sounded like a great idea to me.

I will spend the rest of tonight, and probably tomorrow night, reading through the materials I received. After I have completed this, I will start a new campaign. I do not care how bad i think it is, I will follow each step EXACTLY as outlined in this action plan. I am tired of sitting on the side, watching everyone else make money.

As the theme of this website is EXPERIMENTAL BLOGGING, I have decided to perform another experiment out of this, similar to what I did for my eHow articles. The experiment is simple:

1. Read the materials provided, including ALL background information, extra links, etc

2. Follow each step exactly as outlined

3. Rinse and Repeat

4. Report on my success (failure) at least weekly

So what about you? What steps are you taking to secure your future? Check out One Week Marketing and join in with this experiment. I would love to hear about your trials and tribulations!
