Passive Income Results – February 2009
Welcome to my monthly passive income results report. Some of these streams of income are passive, some are less passive (such as writing articles). Over the course of the next year I will be adding to these streams of income, with the overall goal of making $1,000 per month purely from my online ventures. So without further ado, here are my Passive Income Results for February 2009.
eHow: $48.96 – I did not get the opportunity to write many articles for eHow this month. In fact, since none of the articles I published in February made any money at all, my eHow income can truly be classified as passive income. If you want to short-cut your efforts and make more money from your articles, check out Janet’s eBook. You will find some tips that will pay for the book within a short period of time.
Last month, I made $50.06 from eHow, which means I earned slightly less this month. Even having 3 less days to earn, I am happy with my portfolio of articles. Once I finish a few more things at work, I should be able to write more consistently.
Today: $27.82 – This income is about as easy as it comes. Pick something you enjoy, create a short 150 word post every day and earn money. The only negative about Today dot com is that you cannot post your own affiliate links or you will not get credit for your post. They have added affiliate products that you can promote. I will let you know how this goes.
Affiliate Sales (article marketing): $35.69 – Affiliate sales were down about 50% from last month. Still, $35 for a few articles I wrote last month is not too shabby at all.
Amazon Sales: $34.22 – Yeah….This is awesome. Someone clicked on a eHow link and proceeded to buy almost $1,000 worth of computer stuff. Awesome, simply awesome!
eBay Sales: $12.99 – Not really passive, but since the book I sold was so old, I will include it here.
Yahoo Ads: $0.53 -Enough said.
Swagbucks: $15 Amazon Gift Cards – I like Swagbucks. It does not take any effort to save up enough bucks to get an Amazon or Barnes & Noble gift card. As much as I read, this is perfect for me.
Paid Blogging: $39.00 – I took a few paid posts on a few of my smaller blogs. Still…..$39 for almost nothing is not too bad. I am still on the fence on whether or not I will continue this method of generating income.
Bukisa: $0.12 – The per thousand index just increased to $3.72 AND the minimum payout has been reduced to $10. I may start adding a few articles as an experiment in March.
CashCrate: $0.81 – If you like surveys, you can make a ton of money on this site. I am much too lazy and get way too bored.
HomePageFriends: $0.26 – I still prefer Swagbucks.
February 2009 Total: $215.14
This represents an increase of $40.30, without any real work to speak of. Currently, I am 21% of the way to my goal after only 3 months of effort.
How did you do this month? What other streams can I try? I would love to hear from you!
